The World Premiere of THE ART OF THE BRICK: DC COMICS Exhibition Launches in Sydney

The LCMC team has recently returned from a busy but successful trip to Sydney launching the world premiere of THE ART OF THE BRICK DC Comics exhibition at Powerhouse Museum. We were lucky to have US-based artist, Nathan Sawaya in Sydney to attend media interviews and events in the lead up to the opening of the exhibition on Saturday 21 November.

A one-of-a-kind exhibition, Sawaya turned to the stories and characters of DC Comics as inspiration for his sculptures with legendary characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, a life-size Batmobile and The Joker included in his collection.

Key media highlights included: five live weather cross segments on Sunrise with Sam Mac, a Channel 9 news story in five cities, a fantastic live segment on CH 9 Mornings with David Campbell and Sonia Kruger, radio interviews on ABC, Triple J and 2UE and some fantastic print, online and video coverage in The Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald, The Huffington Post, The Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian Australia, Zoom Sydney and Gizmodo.

The exhibition is certainly a feast for the senses and isn’t coming to Melbourne so if you are going to Sydney in the coming months you must check it out at the Powerhouse Museum, where it is open until May 1 2016.
